I enclose a copy of a telegram received by the Prime Minister from CHUANG CHU FENG and I shall be grateful if you will cause ir. Chuang to be informed, through his solicitors that his tolegram to Mr. Attlee has been referred on Er. Attlee's instructions to me and that I have nothing to add to the terms of the reply alroady conveyed to his solicitors on the subject vide paragraph 2 of my despatch No. 211 of the 14th July, 1948.
